Profile:
·You must have already completed a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and be completing at least a Master's degree at the time of application. Should your studies not be divided into undergraduate and graduate stages, you must have already completed at least 3 years of full time studies at a University or equivalent institution and be in your 4th year of full time studies towards a same diploma.
·Excellent command of English (oral and written), proficiency in other cluster languages (Chinese, Mongolian, Korean, Japanese) will be an asset.
·Good sense of teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to assigned tasks.
·Good computer and IT skills and experience in using Office software packages. Strong strategic, analytical skills.
·Good communication skills, including writing skills.
·Majoring in international relations, public management, marketing, media and communications, business administration and other related fields. Working experiences in an international organization would be an asset.
·The duration of an internship must be between four and six months, at least four days each week, full-time preferred. Physical presence in the office is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of the UNESCO Beijing Office, the intern will perform the following functions:
·Assist in the coordinating and info-collection of 5 programme units' programming during UNSDCF implementation cycle respectively in China, Mongolia and DPRK.
·Assist in research on domestic policy priorities in above-mentioned countries concerning UNESCO's niche areas.
·Contribute to the configuration and drafting of UNESCO Country Strategy (UCS) for above mentioned countries.
·Assist with coordination and support as needed for UN country teams (UNCT).
·Undertake other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

·This internship offers you the opportunity to work in a multicultural, intergovernmental organization.
·UNESCO Beijing Cluster Office covers travel allowance up to RMB 2,000 per month. Costs and arrangements for additional travel expenses, visa, and accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions;
·As the internship programme is not connected with the recruitment process, the grating of an internship should not be interpreted in any way as a preliminary step towards employment at the Secretariat.
